Maryla Abraham's Fall Afresh (written by Juanita Francis) was nominated for Best Pop Song at the Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival 2024.
Started in 1997, in a dance studio in Stratford, London, England, United Kingdom, The ARC Global Churches is overseen by Pastor Peter and Carris Nembhard. The ARC Global Churches and its worship team present the very representation of what is Sunday Morning worship in a Black British church. The Church itself is a melting pot of cultures with members from the African, Caribbean, Asian, mixed race and white European heritage and backgrounds.
The worship project is a result of a request by Isaac Odeniran founder of Zoe Records to the Lead Pastor of ARC Global Churches Pastor Peter Nembhard to record Sunday Morning Worship at the church with two of the Churches' prominent worship leaders.
Isaac Odeniran wanted to create something similar to what Hillsong Worship and Maverick City Music did for Worship music for the Black British church and this series of projects is just about that and more.
Maryla Abraham is a Worship Leader at the ARC Global Churches (A Radical Church) in Forest Gate East London where she has been a member and worship leader for years.
Maryla Abraham partnered with David Elevique (Royal Pianist for Harry and Meghan - Duke and Duchess of Sussex's wedding) the record producer to record two Live sessions of Worship at the ARC Church on two Sunday mornings. The albums were projects by Zoe Records.
The Live album at the ARC Church Forest Gate includes songs like Eddie James' "The name of Jesus Lifted High", Juanita Francis' "Fall Afresh" and Sinach's "Great are You Lord".
