In a unique twist, the song features the harmonious voices of children, including her 10-year-old daughter, Brynn Lee, who sings a poignant part in the last verse. “After I recorded it, I got the rough draft back, and it didn’t seem right,” says Stephanie. “I listened and thought of a lot of changes I could make but none of it resonated. A couple days later, it hit me. This song needed children singing! We called up a few of Brynn Lee’s friends and sent them the music. The last verse is them singing, and it almost brings tears to my eyes! The last little voice, by herself, is my 10-year-old daughter, Brynn Lee. It means so much to have her singing on one of my songs!”
