KXC Release New Single 'Nobody Like You' From Forthcoming Album 'Battle'

Oct 07 2024

KXC’s latest single 'Nobody Like You' is a riotous explosion of joy. Featuring KXC’s Imi Agboaye and Chapel Co.’s Jean du Rand - this upbeat worship song invites the church to celebrate God’s goodness with abandon. We recorded this at our regular Monday night worship and prayer gathering alongside all the tracks from our forthcoming album BATTLE (8th Nov).

"Nobody Like You," written by Imi Agboaye, Jean Du Rand, and Oz Quek, is a joyful praise song inspired by Psalm 34, bursting with vibrance and energy. It celebrates Jesus' unmatched strength and holiness, blending African heritage with heartfelt worship, inviting believers to rejoice and acknowledge His righteousness, strength, and holiness.

Jean, Imi and Oz started writing ‘Nobody Like You’ at one of our KXC songwriting days where we gather as friends to collaborate and create. It is an instant, engaging and deliberately simple song for churches to pick up. It carries an incredibly infectious joy and is bursting with life from start to finish.

The song dovetails into ‘Hosanna, Alleluia’ - a traditional African chorus that Jean grew up singing in South Africa. It’s a powerful congregational moment that we flowed into spontaneously after such a wild expression of high praise with the main track.

KXC Worship is based at King’s Cross Church (KXC) - a thriving Anglican church in central London. Since 2014 we’ve been writing worship songs both for our congregation and the wider church. Our recent songs ‘Jesus Name Above All Names’ and ‘O God Would You Move’ are being sung in churches across the UK and beyond. Earlier this year we also released ‘Show Us Your Glory’ - an album filled with anthems and spontaneous moments as well as ‘Never Sing Alone’ - a collaborative EP written and recorded together with Gas Street Music and Manor Collective.

"On 8th November 2024 we’ll be releasing BATTLE - a new live worship album that is packed with explosive joy and celebration."
