Grow where we are planted. It sounds simple, yet many look at their surroundings and see an impossible mission field to navigate. Despite the challenges, we have been called to go and bring the Gospel with us. The city may not be perfect, but the Gritty keep moving forward!

Rich Colón and Marqus Anthony are Detroit to the bone, but that pales to carrying out the charge of the Great Commission. “We see Jesus in the midst of it all,” explains Rich. “Because we know He is with us, we are motivated to keep at it, for His glory.”

Colón has generated plenty of buzz since linking up with indie imprint Polished Arrow Music.

With the release of a multitude of singles along with the EP ‘Hunting Szn,’ Colón has embraced his role in the boom-bap resurgence that has swept through the Christian hip-hop genre as of late. Gritty continues following the lane that Rich has been carving for himself since returning to creating music.
