KXC and Church of the City New York Release Collaboration 'Only Jesus'
KXC and Church of the City New York release their new collaboration 'ONLY JESUS' (21st Mar).
Only Jesus is a soaring, anthemic worship song born from the collaboration between two churches - KXC in London and Church of the City New York. The chorus holds deep significance, having been birthed in the prayer room in New York by vocalist and writer Emily Lindquist (worship pastor, CotCNY). Rooted in Acts 4, the song powerfully declares that Jesus is the only name in all of heaven and earth by which we can be saved.
The bridge-“You’re just too good to be forgotten, too good to not be known”-is a declaration that holds God to His promise in Habakkuk 2:14: “For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord.” This anthem not only invites worship, but it also challenges us to contend for God’s glory to be made known in our cities and across the earth. "Only Jesus" is a song for any worship moment, bringing powerful truth and energy to any playlist.
This is the final single release from KXC’s forthcoming studio EP - Do It Again Lord (4th April). We’re really excited to share some brand new songs as well as studio versions of live tracks that we’ve released over the last 12 months. The focus track for the EP release is a new version of ‘O God Would You Move’ featuring vocals from former Bethel Music worship leader Kalley Heiligenthal. This song has become an anthem for our church and young people across the UK who are contending for a move of God in our time.
KXC Worship is based at King’s Cross Church (KXC) - a thriving Anglican church in central London. Since 2014 we’ve been writing worship songs both for our congregation and the wider church. Our recent songs ‘Hallelujah Jesus Saves’ and ‘O God Would You Move’ are being sung in churches across the UK and beyond. In 2024 we also released ‘Show Us Your Glory’ - an album filled with anthems and spontaneous moments as well as ‘Never Sing Alone’ - a collaborative EP written and recorded together with Gas Street Music and Manor Collective.
