Elevation Rhythm To Release New Album 'Victory Lap'
ELEVATION RHYTHM will release their new album Victory Lap on May 23rd. Fans can now pre-save the album and listen to the new song "Believe It. Victory Lap provides listeners with a roadmap for the Christian life after they make the transformative decision to follow Jesus.
“Every song has an element of triumph,” shares ELEVATION RHYTHM’s lead songwriter and producer Josh Holiday. “I wanted to introduce new sonics, and I think the best way to introduce new sounds is to do it in the studio, so that you’re not thinking about the crowd; you’re not thinking about the energy of a room. Instead, you’re thinking more about the sonic space.”
To create this environment, Holiday set up a makeshift studio in a nondescript room where the church holds staff meetings. With no audience and no prior rehearsals, ELEVATION RHYTHM set out to capture an album that was literally in the moment. Live and raw, many of the mastered songs were performed for the first time and recorded in one take. Victory Lap also boasts guest vocals from frequent ELEVATION RHYTHM collaborator Joe L Barnes, as well as Gracie Binion, Elevation Worship’s Tiffany Hudson, newcomers Zach Webb and Charles Weems, as well as GRAMMY nominee Blessing Offor.
“This life we live is a victory lap, but many people don’t walk in that freedom. They’re walking in defeat, not knowing the battle’s already won,” Holiday offers of the record’s dominant theme. “It’s like that moment after you’ve made the decision. The victory lap happens after you’ve won.”
RHYTHM has been delivering their dynamic energy on the completely sold-out Forrest Frank "Child of God II Tour." In addition to the upcoming album and tour, it was announced this morning that ELEVATION RHYTHM is nominated for two 2025 K-LOVE Fan Awards for "Group of the Year" and "Worship Song of the Year" ("Goodbye Yesterday").
