Cece Manuela Finds Healing and Hope in New Worship Anthem 'Your Word'

May 30 2025

For rising Christian artist Cece Manuela, music isn't just a calling, it’s a testimony. In her newest release, Your Word, the Cameroonian-born singer-songwriter invites listeners into a deeply personal journey of rediscovering God beyond the bounds of tradition.

Only one year into her music career, Cece is already delivering a sound that resonates like a seasoned worship leader. Her style blends the sincerity of traditional Contemporary Christian Music with the comfort of classic hymns, creating a space where timeless truth meets fresh faith. Your Word, co-written with Lydia Walker, is a soaring declaration of what anchored her after heartbreak and rejection.

“My worship journey started when I was asked to leave the church group I had grown up in my whole life,” Cece shares. “I thought it meant God didn’t want me. But in truth, it was the beginning of Him introducing Himself to me personally. The Word of God is what changed my life, and I had to write a song about it.”

The single, produced by Curt Ryle of Clarksville Creative Sound, features a seasoned lineup of Nashville musicians including Mike Severs on electric guitar, Jimmy Carter on bass, Ryan Jones on keys, and Dennis Holt on drums. Backed by Julia Appleton’s tender harmonies, the track balances reverence with radiant hope.

Since its release, Your Word has gained impressive momentum. The single landed at #1 on Amazon Music and reached #36 on the iTunes Christian chart, while also performing strongly on YouTube where it's quickly approaching 100,000 views. The response speaks to the power of Cece’s message-one that resonates with audiences seeking truth, healing, and the presence of God.

The music video was filmed in the breathtaking Smoky Mountains by Lucas Ciliberti, with Cece and her husband hiking miles to capture each stunning scene. With creative input from Tommy Snyder, CEO of the American Country Network, the night before filming, and visual storytelling that reflects the heart of the lyrics, the video elevates the song’s spiritual message.

Behind the scenes, producer Curt Ryle’s dedication played a key role in bringing the song to life. “He’d say, ‘I feel God tapping me on the shoulder and asking, are you really going to let My song go out like that?’” Cece recalls. “And then he’d go back and work on it again. He must have mixed this one song more times than I can count.” Curt also signed Cece to his label, Clarksville Creative Sound, making her the first Christian act on the roster.

Raised in Cameroon and brought to the United States at age 10, Cece has yet to return home-but she holds onto the hope that her music will someday reach back to her homeland. “I miss it. I hope word of what God is doing through me gets back there. I want to make them proud.”

Your Word is more than a song - it’s a statement of faith, a celebration of transformation, and a powerful reminder of the life-changing truth found in Scripture.
