Vanessa Kersting Reflects on Two Decades in Music With 'The Collection'
Australian born Vanessa Kersting, a celebrated voice in the Christian music scene, is marking a major milestone in her career with the release of The Collection. This new project brings together six fan favorite singles that have appeared in the TCM countdowns over the past four years along with one remix, two new tracks, and a heartfelt cover.
Since moving to the United States in 2023, Kersting has been touring extensively across the country, continuing a journey that spans more than 20 years in the Contemporary Christian Music industry. In 2023, she was nominated for the CMAA People’s Choice Award for Australian Artist, further solidifying her standing as one of the most respected names in the genre.
Her career highlights include multiple placements in the TCM Top 100 Songs for 2015, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2024, as well as the TCM Christmas Top 30. In addition, ten singles have spent a combined 122 weeks in the Top 30 including “Hold The Stars,” “Here,” “All Along,” and “Fly.” These accomplishments have placed her alongside leading artists such as Rebecca St. James, For King & Country, and Lauren Daigle. Produced by a roster of notable talents including Ashley Gale, Josh Ham, and Israel Amoy, The Collection is more than a retrospective. It is a celebration of God’s faithfulness. “It is about remembering three truths,” Kersting shares. “God is good all the time, we are loved beyond measure, and Emmanuel, God with us, has always been and always will be.”
In addition to her music, Kersting is a qualified social worker who brings depth and empathy to her songwriting. Her sound has been described as soulful, eclectic, and atmospheric, blending heartfelt lyricism with rich melodic layers. Each song invites listeners into moments of reflection, hope, and worship.
Her passion for ministry through music has carried her from her home country to stages and radio stations across Australia, New Zealand, the United States, and the United Kingdom. Featured in CCM Magazine in 2024, Kersting continues to make her mark in the global faith based music community.
