Parachute Band To Release 'Love Without Measure' With Guest Vocals From Martin Smith

Nov 29 2010

New Zealand's Parachute Band will release their new album 'Love Without Measure' on 1st February 2011, featuring guest vocals from former Delirious? frontman Martin Smith. The 12 track self-produced CD is the band's third studio album.

Describing the title of the album, the group's drummer Sam de Jong said "It comes out of a song on the album which is central to the theme of the album and is a concept that we're super passionate about. The first single we're gonna release is a song called 'Peace On Earth', so make sure to look out for that on radio. Our hope and prayer for this album is that it draws you into the throne room of our God, and helps connect you with your creator. This is a collection of songs from our heart, based on the things we've seen around the world, and the way that Jesus is calling us to live out his mission."

The band, in conjunction with Integrity Music, will give listeners a free preview through a download promotion that includes songs from the project. Between now and December 31, Integrity Music is giving away nine, free Parachute Band songs on Facebook. In addition to six songs from the band's last two critically acclaimed projects 'Roadmaps' and 'Revelations and Technicolor', the promotion also features three songs from 'Love Without Measure'.

One of the stand-out tracks on the new album is 'Mercy', an intimate song born out of frontman Omega Levine's struggle with depression. After hearing the band perform it at New Zealand's Parachute Music Festival, Casting Crowns recorded the song for their album 'Until The Whole World Hears'.
