Featured Artist: Tim Hughes
Tim Hughes is one of the UK's best known worship leaders. He is the Director of Worship at Holy Trinity Brompton church, which is situated in the middle of London, and also heads up the amazing training resource Worship Central with Al Gordon, Ben Cantelon and Nikki Fletcher.
Prior to all that, Tim used to work for Soul Survivor Watford Church, where he was Worship Pastor, taking over the roll when Matt Redman left the church to help plant other churches around the UK.
Tim has been involved in leading worship at the Soul Survivor Summer Festival meetings since the age of 19. Every summer at the Shepton Mallet Showground he would lead thousands of young people in worship to bring them closer to God.
Hughes' 2001 debut recording was called 'Here I Am To Worship' which introduced the world to Tim's most well known song 'Light of The World'. Soon after followed 'When Silence Falls' which contained the amazing 'Consuming Fire' and 'Wonderful So Wonderful', both songs still impacting the church since their release in 2004.
In 2007 we saw the release of Tim Hughes' biggest album to date, 'Holding Nothing Back' which contained the anthemic 'Happy Day', plus 'Holding Nothing Back', 'God of Justice' and 'Everything'. In 2008 Tim recorded a live album and DVD at a Worship Central event held at Shepherds Bush Empire in London. The album contained a mix of previously released material and brand new songs such as 'Give Us Your Courage' and 'Jesus Saves'. As well as releasing many albums, Tim is also one of the members of the Compassionart charity which was founded by Martin Smith.
Which leads us to the release of Tim's fourth studio album 'Love Shine Through'. The album, which was produced by former Delirious? singer Martin Smith, has already received rave reviews. Packed with solid, fresh, worship songs, the album includes song writing collaborations with the likes of Ben Cantelon, Nick Herbert, Nikki Fletcher, Keys Kraayenoord, Stu G and Martin Smith.
