Matt Redman's '10,000 Reasons' Places Highly On iTunes Charts
The new album from worship leader Matt Redman, '10,000 Reasons', has taken the number 1 spot on iTunes Christian Albums Chart following it's release earlier this week. The album has also placed in the Top 15 on the iTunes overall albums chart. Recorded live in front of 1,000 worship leaders during the 'LIFT' conference in Atlanta, Georgia in February, Matt's eighth album features 11 all-new songs and is available now at both the US iTunes and UK iTunes stores.
Matt has also written a new book titled 'Mirror Ball'. Describing the book's metaphor, the publishes say: "Everyone, [Matt] reminds us, has the unique potential to radiate the goodness, glory and power of God through our own lives. And, like the diminutive mirror ball above a disco floor, we might not look particularly impressive on our own, but once we allow the light of God to shine upon us, there's no end to the beauty that will shine."
'10,000 Reasons' sees Matt co-write with Chris Tomlin, Matt Maher, Jason Ingram, Jonas Myrin, Tim Wanstall and Jesse Reeves. "There's something that happens in the worshipping, singing church that you don't find anywhere else on the face of the earth", says Matt of the live recording. "I hope people end up hearing that on the album; it hopefully gives some life to the songs".
