Aug 23 2011

David Crowder Band have announced the release date for their final ever studio album. Whilst details of the album are still under wraps, early speculation suggests it will be titled 'Requiem' and despite previously being planned for release this September, the band have now confirmed the release date will be 10th January 2012.

Writing on their Twitter page, the band said "There will be 2 more DC*B albums. Our Christmas album, Oh for Joy, out Oct. 4th & the final album, out Jan 10th 2012! Get excited!" Back in May the band surprised fans with the announcement that their 'The 7 Tour', which ends in November 2011, would be their last tour.

'The 7 Tour' begins on 28th September in Austin, Texas, with support from Gungor, John Mark McMillan, and Chris August. Following the tour David Crowder Band will perform at a number of events and conferences before their final ever show which will take place at Passion 2012 in Atlanta, Georgia on 2nd January 2012, one week before the release of their sixth and final album.

Prior to their final studio album, the band will release their first ever Christmas record 'Oh For Joy' on 4th October 2011. Featuring Christmas favorites 'Joy To The World', 'The First Noel', 'Oh Holy Night', 'Silent Night' and more, the eight song album features classic Christmas songs interpreted as only the David Crowder Band can with their unmistakable creativity and originality.
