Canadian Rock Band Manic Drive Prepare 'Epic' New Album

Sep 26 2011

Toronto-based Manic Drive release their new album 'Epic' tomorrow, 27th September 2011. The band joined creative forces with multi-platinum, award-winning producer/songwriter Rob Wells (Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, Backstreet Boys) for this their fourth album, and they will be promoting it on tour with the Newsboys during October.

"Working with Rob has been extremely exciting," says the band's singer Shawn Cavallo. "He expanded the creative boundaries of Manic Drive, pushing us to a whole new level! As an artist I appreciate him challenging us to improve ourselves artistically while at the same time keeping a direct message of faith in our music. We wanted this album to be groundbreaking by making a record that stands out artistically in a way that is musically relevant to those in and out of the church."

The band has been touring non-stop since the 2009 release of their previous album 'Blue', including North American runs with Stryper, Superchick, Fireflight, Group 1 Crew and the Air-1 Appreciation Tour, which they co-headlined. The band's 2008 release, 'Reset & Rewind', earned an unprecedented seven Covenant Award nominations from GMA Canada.
