Newsboys Announce 'God's Not Dead World Tour 2012'

Dec 09 2011

In what looks set to be one of the biggest tours of 2012, Newsboys have announced plans for their 60-date 'God's Not Dead World Tour 2012' in support of their new rock-driven modern worship album 'God's Not Dead', released last month.

Kicking off on 12th Jan in Michigan and running until 5th May, the tour will run in over 60 cities across the US, with special guests The City Harmonic, Anthem Lights, and Abandon, and partnering with Compassion International, I Am Second and Interstate Batteries.

Whilst billed as a 'World Tour', only US dates have been confirmed so far, although it is known that Newsboys will perform in the UK on 2nd June 2012 at the BigChurchDayOut event, and in Canada on 24th June at Harriston-Minto Fairgrounds.

During the tour the Newsboys will be promoting their latest album 'God's Not Dead' which sees them put their signature touch on covers of seven popular church worship songs in addition to five new original Newsboys songs. The band's new front man Michael Tait is reunited with his former DC Talk band mate Kevin Max on the album as they share the vocals on title track and first single 'God's Not Dead (Like A Lion)' and also on 'I Am Second', described as the edgiest song on the album.
