'Counting Days' EP From The Joy Brigade To Be Released A Decade After Being Recorded

Mar 02 2012

A previously unreleased live recording made by British band The Joy Brigade a decade ago will finally be released later this month. The tracks on the 'Counting Days' EP were recorded straight to 2 inch tape at ICC Studios in Eastbourne late one night in 2002, and remained unreleased until now.

'Counting Days' will be available to download on 26th March 2012 from iTunes and 7Core Music, a brand new UK based independent record label with a passion for quality Alternative Christian music, working with bands, singers and worship leaders, helping them to record and distribute their music.

Formed in 2001 The Joy Brigade consisted of ex Split Level frontman Adrian Thompson (now A&R Manager at Kingsway) on vocals and guitar, recording engineer and producer Trevor Michael on guitar and backing vocals, well known UK session musicians Mark Prentice on bass and Paul Evans (Delirious?) on drums.

"Loud, Melodic, Raw, Passionate, Sincere, and obviously Joyful, are all words you could use to describe The Joy Brigade" says 7Core Music. "They played a handful of shows over that year in the UK, Germany and Sweden, and then disappeared. Where are they now you ask ? Watch out. Anything could happen..."
