Chaos Curb To Perform First Live Shows As Ex Bosh & Dweeb Members Unite
British collaborative worship movement Chaos Curb perform their first ever live shows together this weekend. Consisting of members of former bands Bosh and dweeb the group recently released their first album, 'Chaos Curb Collaboration', also featuring former Delirious? keyboard player Tim Jupp and Verra Cruz frontman Marc James, with songs co-written with Paul Oakley, Sam Lane (Vineyard) and David Evans.
The core Chaos Curb band is made up of former Bosh members Dave Griffiths (vocals and guitar) and James Grant (bass), former dweeb members Tim Alford (drums) and Gareth Hutchinson (guitar), plus David Evans (keyboards) who has previously worked as producer with Alamein's Torch, Becky Green, Brought Into Being and Veetacore.
In recording their 10 track album, the new band were joined in the studio by a selection of talented and well known musicians, including Tim Jupp (keyboards), Marc James (guitar), Mike Griffiths (BOSH drummer), Steve Coates (BOSH guitarist) and Deborah Hartup (The Burn Band).
Chaos Curb have a number of live dates confirmed during 2012, kicking off with Rock The Cathedral in Gloucester on 16th March and The Life Centre in Bournemouth on 18th March. The band will also perform at the Big Church Day Out on 3rd June and at CampFest in Slovakia from 2nd to 5th August.
"Chaos Curb as a phrase sort of refers to the idea that God is, and his church is, making all things new", Dave explains. "We are to build God's kingdom, and in that kingdom the chaos that putting ourselves first and doing our own thing has brought on us is being curtailed. It fascinates me that we are called to be involved in the restoration of Shalom. As God does it in our lives, we are empowered and inspired to do the same in the world around us."
