Superhero Nominated For Two Scottish Music Awards

Jul 06 2012

Scottish Christian rock band Superhero have been nominated for two awards at the mainstream Scottish Music Awards. The band are nominated for Group Of The Year and Rock Recording of the Year for their recent third album, 'Things We Need For The Journey'.

Online voting for the awards opens on Monday, 9th July 2012 at ScotMusicAwards.co.uk and will close on 25th August. The winners will be announced at the Classic Grand in Glasgow on Sunday 2nd September.

"Each category has 5 nominations short listed from thousands of applications, so it was a moment when we were notified that we had been nominated in 2 different categories", said Superhero's Tim Cheshire. "There is a lot of great music in Scotland at the moment so it makes the nomination even more special."

Superhero will continue their UK tour in Scotland on 7th September, with dates throughout the UK in November and early December. The band will also be taking the tour to Hungary in September for five days and then to Estonia for a week at the start of October.
