Jars of Clay Recording 11th Album, Singer Dan Haseltine Recovering From Cardiac Event
Jars of Clay have begun recording their eleventh album at a studio in Portland with producer Tucker Martine. The album is planned for release early next year, and the band have also announced plans for a fall tour later this year with special guests Sleeping At Last and Mariah McManus.
The band's lead singer Dan Haseltine is currently recovering after suffering a 'cardiac event'. "On July 25th, our singer and frontman Dan Haseltine underwent a procedure to correct a coronary issue after experiencing a cardiac event", confirmed the band in an announcement on their website.
"He is doing well and recovering. Dan is grateful for the thoughts and prayers that have gone out on his behalf. We are looking forward to our fall tour, and can't tell you how excited we are about the 11th studio album we are finishing work on, which will be out early in 2013."
Discussing the new album, the band went on to say, "We are uber-excited to announce that Tucker Martine will be producing our next album! We've written 50 songs in the last year or so. Tomorrow we fly to Portland and start recording our 13 favorites!"
