Louder Than The Music

Singer/songwriter Andrew Peterson has released his new album 'Light For The Lost Boy'. The project, produced by longtime friend and producer Ben Shive (Jeremy Camp, Sara Groves, Matt Wertz), along with Cason Cooley (Katie Herzig, Mat Kearney, Audrey Assad), features ten new songs written by Peterson.

"I don't write songs just for my own pleasure, after all; these are for you", confesses Peterson. "Sure, I may get some enjoyment out of the process, and there are residual blessings that come from the writing and production of the music, but the real thrill for me has always been the mysterious way songs (and whatever light lives in them) have the potential to find their way into the world, into your ears, and, hopefully, your hearts. That you would give them that chance is a great honor, and my great hope for the album."

A contest has been running for fans to create a video for Andrew's current single, 'Rest Easy', taken from the album. "There were so many creative entries", he explains. Discussing his chosen winning video (see below), Andrew continues, "This video actually brought tears to my children's eyes. The production is excellent, the story it tells is simple and beautiful, and the last shot of the boy flashing his light at the night sky gets me every time."
