David Beggan & Union State Release 'Caden's Song' In Memory Of 6-Year Old Son

Scottish band Union State have joined forces with David Beggan for a special charity single released this week, 9th December 2012, to raise funds for Yorkhill Hospital. 'Caden's Song (My First Christmas)' was written by David, father of Caden - a six year old boy who lost his battle with septicaemia on 20th November.

All proceeds from the sales of the single will go to the Yorkhill Children's Foundation who have established a tribute fund in Caden's memory.

David is joined on the recording by Union State (which comprises close family and friends including Caden's Aunt), Scottish singer-songwriter JJ Gilmour (formerly of The Silencers), Graeme Duffin (guitarist with Wet Wet Wet and now of the Foundry Music Lab in Motherwell) and close friend and fellow composer David Lyon.

A host of Scottish musicians have endorsed the project and have asked their fans to lend their support by buying the single this Christmas. These include: JJ Gilmour, Jim Reid (of Jesus and Mary Chain fame), Wet Wet Wet and Hue and Cry.

The single is available as a download now from iTunes and Spotify. The song was produced by Sandy Jones and David at the Foundry Music Lab. who donated the cost of the studio time for the fundraising cause.
