Tim Hughes Discusses New Worship Central Album 'Let It Be Known'
Worship Central will release its second live album 'Let It Be Known' on 11th March 2013. Recorded live in London last autumn the album features worship leaders Tim Hughes, Ben Cantelon, Nikki Fletcher and Luke Hellebronth. An iTunes LP version of the album will be available, including exclusive content such as videos, loop tracks and tutorials.
Based out of England's Holy Trinity Brompton Church in London, there are also now Worship Central hubs in Honk Kong, the Netherlands, Singapore, Malaysia and South Africa. This spring will see a debut tour of South Africa, plus an eight-date UK tour.
The UK tour kicks off in Southampton on 13th March with dates also in Bristol, Newcastle, Cambridge, Manchester, Sheffield, Edinburgh and Belfast.
Discussing the forthcoming album, Tim Hughes explains, "We decided to collaborate much more with our songwriting, spending more time writing together. These songs are the fruit of that passion."
"I've been struck by the fact that songs which are about the cross often bring such power to the services," says Tim. "They are the ones which often seem to lead to breakthrough. I was at an event in Manchester recently and had an image in my mind of a burning cross which sucked off and burned up chains and addictions from the people standing around it. It lead to the song The Cross Burns, and it's a reminder that the power of these songs that we play is only ever found in God."
"Then there's the song Our Generation. So many times I look out at our youth and students and I see so much potential for God to use them. But they lack confidence to see. We're desperate for God to turn things around - He's the only one that can."
Worship Central's previous live album, 'Spirit Break Out' was the tenth most downloaded album overall in the UK following it's release in September 2011. First album 'Lifting High' was released in 2009.
