Blog: Featured Album: Worship Central - Let It Be Known

Mar 11 2013

In the second episode of our new series of featured albums, we look at the latest live album from Worship Central,'Let It Be Known'.

Based out of England's Holy Trinity Brompton Church in London. Worship Central is made up of leaders Tim Hughes, Al Gordon, Ben Cantelon, Nikki Fletcher and Luke Hellebronth. Launched in 2006, Worship Central is a Christian school of worship from HTB, the church that also pioneered the Alpha Course. The school aims to encounter God, equip the worshipper and empower the local church. The school has trained thousands of worship leaders, musicians and worshippers around the world.

"From the moment the album starts right through to the very finish you are left with a sense of what God was doing on those nights in London. The lyrics feel fresh and the music fusses together modern sounds, creating a fantastic worship album that will draw the listener to God from the moment they press play."

"We love recording live albums. There's something raw and alive about singing these songs with thousands of people joining together. We may do a studio album at some point, but for now we're excited about capturing live worship. We feel we're only just getting going!"

Worship CentralWorship Central's debut album 'Lifting High' was released in 2009. The follow up album, and first live recording from Worship Central, was titled 'Spirit Break Out'. The album made a massive impact upon its UK released in September 2011, becoming the tenth most downloaded album overall in the UK during its first week.

The latest album was produced by Ben Cantelon and written by the team at HTB, along with its extended family that includes Martin Smith, Matt Redman and others.

As Worship Central reaches out to its own growing community in the UK, 'Let It Be Known' was also recorded during a period of significant international growth. Part of that growth has been fueled by the online worship course that Worship Central has made available free of charge since last year.
