Hillsong United, Casting Crowns & Newsboys Nominated For American Music Awards
The nominations for the 2014 American Music Awards have been announced this week. Hillsong United, Casting Crowns and Newsboys will battle it out in the Contemporary Inspirational Artist category.
The 2014 AMAs will be broadcast live from the Nokia Theater L.A. on 23rd November 2014 on the ABC Network. The AMAs are a fan-voted award show with winners determined by votes cast online as well as via Twitter.
The release of Hillsong United's 2013 album, 'ZION', which was their most successful and fastest selling album to date. The album produced their No. 1 hit, the RIAA Gold certified single, 'Oceans (Where Feet May Fail).'
Multi-platinum selling worship group Casting Crowns released their seventh studio record 'Thrive' earlier this year, their first studio project in over two years following the success of 'Come to the Well' which debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard Top 200.
Newsboys will release their new studio album 'Hallelujah For The Cross' next month. The 10-track album features traditional hymns recorded with new arrangements. The band, fronted by singer Michael Tait, released their 'Restart' album in 2013.
