There seems to have been a surge recently of that kind of punk sounding American rock music. You know the kind, Blink182, Green Day, RelientK, Fall Out Boy; the kind where you listen to a track and you can see the music video of guys running down a sunny street in California reeking innocent havoc between shots of the guys rocking on a small stage thrashing guitars.

The title track opens the album up with a familiar rock verging on punk sound which seems to be everywhere at the minute. In fact I found myself searching my Music directory to see if I had some Everyday Sunday somewhere because it felt so familiar. That should be a bad thing, but it's not. It's a familiar sound but only in that it sounds like a new album from someone you have heard of before.
In places, such as the beginning of Under Your Thumb, the band seem to be striving to a harder blend of rock than they produce but they still work as nice touches to the overall sound. A few tracks into the album and the blends starts to make sense.
Where I Ended has the potential to be anthemic along the same lines of OneRepublic, beautiful lyrics, heartfelt vocals and great musical support for both. The lyrics throughout the album possibly aren't the strongest or most heart-wrenching you will ever hear but to be honest I don't think the music would take it or at least it certainly doesn't need it.
Is this ground-breaking, revolutionary music? The beginning of a whole new revolution? No. But you know what they say; if it ain't broke........
