New Band 3for3 Release 'Halfway' Single Ahead Of EP

Jul 02 2015

MAXX Recordings' launch is in full swing with its debut hot new buzz band 3for3. Josh Davis, Spencer Lloyd and Benji Shuler are ecstatic to bring you their new music that is anchored by positive lyrics, soulful harmonies and production by some of today’s top producers.

And by all accounts, their career is off to an amazing start. “Halfway,” the trio’s debut single, was co-written by member Benji Shuler. It was recently the most added at CHR radio and is currently sitting inside the Top 25 in just three weeks.

Equipped with bounding energy, strong storytelling and vocal styling, the guys are creating a sound that is fresh, confident and solid. “We want love to be our language and to create music that touches and uplifts the soul of those who hear it,” says the trio.

Collectively, they have been gearing up for this for some time. All three grew up singing in church, local events and national platforms like American Idol. Group member Spencer Lloyd ranked in the top tier of the hit show prior to joining Benji and Josh to round out the group that was created by MAXX Recordings head Mitchell Solarek.

With that, Solarek saw these three young men as a trifecta of talent to showcase a new, broad reaching sound and message that will have young girls swooning and parents enjoying the music and the message all at the same time.

The debut single, “Halfway,” of the five-song EP, that is preceding the early 2016 full length project, delivers a strong message of God’s love is never halfway, it is all the way and that we should never feel alone or discouraged knowing that his presence is with us always. This coupled with the top-rate musicianship and production value, threads the way for this group to have a solid career.

Josh, Spencer and Benji currently live in a “band house,” in Nashville where they work diligently on mastering their live show, their mission to spread the word through their music and have fun on Snapchat and making You Tube videos that can be seen on the 3for3 channel. “It is an exciting time, a challenging time and a blessed time for us all. We are honored to be able to use our talents and touch people through music,” says 3for3.
