Mobile Orchestra is the super long awaited fifth album from Owl City aka Adam Young and it has been worth the wait.

Mobile Orchestra is definitely on par as one of Owl City’s best albums to date, if not the best. Owl City is known for producing some of the best pop songs, with his albums containing hit songs, and here in Mobile Orchestra we see Owl City pushing the boundaries musically and genre hoping with different styles, coupled with some strong and creative lyrics, this album shows that Adam Young is continually maturing in craftsmanship.

Mobile Orchestra is definitely on par as one of Owl City’s best albums to date, if not the best. Owl City is known for producing some of the best pop songs, with his albums containing hit songs, and here in Mobile Orchestra we see Owl City pushing the boundaries musically and genre hoping with different styles, coupled with some strong and creative lyrics, this album shows that Adam Young is continually maturing in craftsmanship.

The album features guest vocalists including Aloe Blacc, Sarah Russell, Hanson, Jake Owen and Britt Nicole, whose voices fit right in with the songs styles and really add to the album.

One of the most notable guest appearances would have to be 90’s band Hanson who appear on the track “Unbelievable” which is all about living in the 90’s with them singing about all sorts of things that someone who grew up in the 90’s can relate to, with references to pogs, Nintendo games and Goosebumps books amongst many others, it is just simply a fun nostalgic song.

“Back Home” brings a different style musically and features country-pop artist Jake Owen and is a poppy, country song which works really really well with Young’s vocals and Owen’s vocals both complementing and blending with each other’s voices.

Adam makes it known that he is a Christian and many of his songs feature lyrics and themes that point to something more, but here in Mobile Orchestra, perhaps making this album his most daring release are two full on worship songs that Adam has written, “My Everything” and “You’re Not Alone” which features Britt Nicole. These songs are fantastic, they are uplifting and bring hope and life pointing listeners to Jesus, with lyrics “I run to you, and you alone, ‘Cause you’re my light in the dark... Hallelujah my almighty God divine” and “You rescued me and I believe, That God is love and He is all I need... You’re not alone... For God so Loved the world He died for me.” Other songs on the album containing references to God include “I Found Love” and “Can’t Live Without You.”

There are so many great songs on this album that will get you singing along, dancing and sticking them on repeat. With songs that can bring hope, encouragement and life, this is an album which can relate to many people. One of the best albums of the year.
