Speak Brother Celebrate Rugby World Cup With 'Lions Roar' Single

Sep 10 2015

Rugby based band Speak Brother releases it's new single 'Lions Roar' on 11th September 2015. The trio's song is a celebration of their hometown's most famous export ahead of the 2015 Rugby World Cup, and was commissioned by Rugby Borough Council, featuring the voices of over 400 local schoolchildren.

"It's such an anthemic song that I can imagine being sung in stadiums by thousands!" said former England Rugby Player Louis Deacon.

"You may know, we are based in the town of Rugby (the birth place of the game) and Rugby FM and the Rugby Borough Council asked if they could use our song, Lions Roar as the town's song as part of it's World Cup celebrations", explains the band.

"It's worth mentioning that Lions Roar is not the official song for the Rugby World Cup, but a song from the people of Rugby that echos similar values of a World Cup of unity and a coming together

The song features 100's of voices from Rugby including school children and choirs from all over the town! We'd like to thank the schools for taking the song on as their own and allowing their kids to be part of it all and Rugby FM for organising it all."
