Spring Harvest Releasing New Live Album 'Game Changers'
The Spring Harvest Live 2016 album 'Game Changer' is releasing this Friday 15th July. This year's lead worshippers were Cathy Burton, Ben Cantelon, Lou Fellingham, Nick Herbert, Chris McClarney and Sound Of Wales and together they create a strong album with an overwhelming sense of unity in diversity.
This cohesive synergy between differing styles, songs and congregational responses is definitely one of the best-loved features of Spring Harvest’s live worship albums.
With a back catalogue spanning over three decades, Spring Harvest’s live worship albums have consistently introduced new songs of declaration and devotion to a church hungry for faith-relevant musical expressions.
“The live album has always been a catalyst for new worship material,” comments Spring Harvest’s chief executive Peter Martin, “which has resourced the church and individuals in their worship. The variety of songs means there is something for everyone and the passion behind the music together with thousands singing, makes every album an amazing worship experience.”
The track-listing for ‘Game Changers’ is impressive. Chris McClarney leads an inspiring version of “Good, Good Father’, a Housefires song which has taken the world by storm, plus he delivers two others, ‘No Longer Slaves’ and ‘Forever (We Sing Hallelujah)’ with his usual quota of heartfelt passion.
Brand new song ‘Highway To The Heavens’, written and led by Cathy Burton, is a sensitive request to the unchanging, ever-faithful God for strength, peace and an outward perspective as we navigate the journey of life. Cathy also displays versatility when she leads a rock-energy outburst of praise with ‘Great Is Our God’.
Adding to an already outstanding collection are four stirring songs from Lou Fellingham and band. ‘I Believe’ has already touched many lives, and Lou explains how the song’s “honesty, truth and skillful melody lead us into a place of surrender, encouraging us to worship in the midst of impossible situations.” ‘Hallelujah, Wake Up My Soul’ is a lively call to worship, ‘Wholly Yours’ paints a picture of all God has accomplished through Jesus, and there is an incredibly uplifting recording of the timeless ‘There Is A Day’.
