You know that feeling when you put an album on, and the first few bars just grabs your attention, makes you stand up and stop what you're doing and you fall in love with it from the start? And that feeling doesn't give up well after the album has stopped ringing in your ears. Well Jake Isaac and 'Our Lives' is definitely one of those albums.

This album just has hit after hit after hit. The song 'Will You Be' is a truly brilliant track. It's as good as anything in the charts at the moment. 'Long Road' is an interesting and creative number, and the upbeat 'I Got You' will get you swaying. I know that is only a small taste of the songs, but what I can say is that I really love all the songs!
But for me the magical moment of the album comes in the form of the tender vocals on the amazing 'Better This Way'. Mr Jake Isaac sir, please take a bow. When this song finished I just wanted to applaud, like at the end of a big song in the theatre. The song is heartbreaking, soul crunching and also one of the most beautiful songs I have heard in a long time.
This album keeps you on your toes. It always feels like there is something special around the corner. Be it a moment on a track, a vocal, a melody or even the whole song itself, this is one of the biggest draws of the album. From track to track every song can stands on its own as a hit.
Jake has made a sublime album here. It feels like such a unique album compared to a lot of albums out there at the moment. It's an honest and emotional album. I just love it. There isn't much more I can say apart from that. My words will never do this album justice. It's a truly brilliant album.
