I knew very little about the people behind this EP. So I did what any modern person would do. Google!

Now as a newbie to these guys, forgive me if you're a long time fan. But I am coming to these songs with a fresh ear.
The tracks 'I Want You' and 'Call On Your Name' have this energetic dance beat that is infectious and will get you clapping and tapping your feet. The whole sound of the album is very modern, similar in the way that Hillsong Young and Free and Parachute band are producing music.
During the opening track I couldn't work out if there are two lead female vocals or the backing singers, who are also female, are very high in the mix. With some creative vocal runs in the melodies of these high energy opening numbers the album starts off with a bit of a musical punch.
For all the dance inspired sounds of the opening tracks, the song 'You've Won My Affection' sounds like it would fit perfectly in a powerful movie scene in a great Christian Film. It's big and epic sounding.
It's not long until we bounce back to the synth sounds. The track 'Kingdom' for me has to be the standout track on the album. Everything on this track seems to work together perfectly to create an amazing tune. Funnily enough it's the one track that doesn't really sound like it's recorded in the live setting.
My only nagging point about this EP is the way the recording moves between tracks could work a bit better, but overall a great effort from the guys at New Hope Oahu. Some really great moments on this collection of songs.
