Whale Bones Ready First Full-Length Album 'Island Fire'

Feb 06 2018

American Indie/Alternative band Whale Bones, from Bloomington, Indiana, will release their first full length album 'Island Fire' on 23rd March 2018. The new album is available for pre-order now on all digital platforms and follows their debut release, 'The Seaside EP'.

The band have just unveiled the video for 'Backyard' (see below) taken from the 'Island Fire' album.

Inspired by an adventure to the coast of Florida, 'The Seaside EP' explored a progression of self-regret and eventual forgiveness. With the intricate percussive patterns and crushing guitars along with the dynamic melodies, Whale Bones depicts the serene, yet violent nature of the ocean. The EP was recorded in the Winter of 2014 at Primary Sound Studios in Bloomington, Indiana. At just under 20 minutes, 'The Seaside EP' thoroughly defines the raw and intimate yet refined sound of Whale Bones, giving a glimpse of what is still to come from the band.
