Ian Kenville Releases Latest Single '100K'
New York based independent rap/hip-hop recording artist Ian Kenville, formerly known as Arson Child, has released his latest single '100K'.
Discussing the new single, Ian said, "Music has changed everything for me. When I started recording and dropping songs two years ago, I wanted to be rich, famous, and popular. Over the past two years, I’ve learned what really matters. I’ve been heartbroken, I’ve been broke, I’ve had bad songs, I’ve had bad live performances and I’ve failed. However, I’ve grown, I’ve gone on tour, I’ve learned, and now, I'm starting to make an impact. I love my friends (the real ones), and I have no regrets. If I make it rich, nothing would change. Money means nothing. You can have it. The dream is the process, not the perks."
Since the age of 18, Ian has dedicated himself to making music that is different from the rest. In the Spring of 2017, Ian released his first single, entitled Missed Call. Throughout 2017, he continued to grow as an artist, releasing more singles and performing more often in different areas all over the country. Although new to the industry, Ian has worked with artists such as Ruslan, Shope, Th3 Saga, Young Noah, Shiwan, Genaro Ortiz and more.
With a sound similar to Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, and Machine Gun Kelly, Ian adds his own unique touch to tracks and allows his passion and emotions to resonate in the songs. After years of work and preparation, Arson Child released his debut EP in January of 2018, entitled, My Soul, My Dark Confession. The project debuted in the top 200 on the iTunes Hip-Hop Charts.
In May, Ian Kenville released his single Fade Away, the first under the new name. This song received attention from many blogs and magazines, including Rapzilla, blssd music, Mr. Galaxy, New H2O, and more. His co-headliner spot on The Squad Tour (with Jeff Cabreja) was announced later that month. Kenville hopes to release his debut, full-length record by the end of 2018.
