Ryan Chew & Unified Tackle Halloween Taboo On New Single 'Grace'

Oct 26 2018

Washington, DC group Ryan Chew & Unified have decided to tackle the taboo topic of Halloween with their new single and first music video 'Grace', recorded on a haunted house themed set. "Christian teens participating in Halloween events is often a taboo topic, so we decided to attack it full force", said the group. This will be their third single release, and will hit all platforms including VEVO and iTunes on October 27th.

"Our goal is to change the view and perception of gospel music", explains the band's lead singer, Ryan Chew. "This song and video is a direct representation of that. Halloween in the Christian world is always seen as a negative notion. We decided to push that button by actually doing a Halloween video. The marriage between the music and the video is non traditional yet it still conveys a traditional message, appreciation for Gods Grace."

Natives to the Metropolitan area of Washington, DC; Ryan Chew & Unified's sole purpose is to spread Christian messages of love, faith, and strength through music. The group was originally started in December 2016 by, lead singer and songwriter, Ryan Chew, in efforts to create a safe haven to worship & talk about religion and spirituality. With no established name, but slight visions of expansion, the group began performing at local churches in the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan area.

After a few months of gigging and faith in expansion, the team knew that they could reach so much more people; thus the creation of Ryan Chew and Unified. Their diverse backgrounds in music and spirituality brings unique perspectives that’s relatable to millennials everywhere. With a single released in Winter 2017, entitled 'In You I Trust', and another single released this past August entitled 'All Is Well', Ryan Chew & Unified continues to minister, singing and spreading the love of Christ.
