Micah Christopher Releases 'The Lord Is Good'
Micah Christopher, a worship leader and guitarist from Springfield, has released his single 'The Lord Is Good'. Michah explains that the song was written following their first child Adelaide's birth. "We were first-time parents and thought everything was going to be totally normal. At birth, without warning, Adelaide suffered a stroke. That was followed by 15-20 seizures over the course of the next few days. We spent 2 weeks at St Louis Children's Hospital after her birth. The Doctors said she could have Cerebral Palsy, have speech problems her whole life, would never be able to be active or play sports, or basically do anything a normal kid would ever do.
Jill and I held onto Gods Word, and countless times were reminded of His goodness and mercy, and His faithfulness no matter what. I wrote this song while we were on this journey. And oh yeah, God had other plans. At her 6 months, and subsequent check-ups, doctors mysteriously couldn't find any markers or indicators that Adelaide would have ANY disabilities. Today, Adelaide's a perfectly happy, healthy miracle of a 5-year-old."
Outside of leading at his home church weekly Micah travels and leads worship at camps, conferences and events all over the country. He also plays guitar with Curb Records band Nate & the Saints led by singer-songwriter Nate Sallie.
Micah has been fortunate to play at events and cities like Joyful Noise Festival in Minneapolis, Momentum Conference at Disney World as well as in cities such as New York City, Los Angeles, Dallas, Austin and Nashville. Micah graduated from Southwest Baptist University in 2010 and is married to his middle school sweetheart Jill and together they have a daughter Adelaide Rae and two sons Kingston Christopher and Ledger August.
