There's going to be songs like "Risen King", "You are the Christ", "Jesus is the Lord of All" and "Strength of my Heart" that we've been using at City Church and at conferences over the past couple of years!"

It can be hard to find upbeat tracks, that don't have woo hoos as their choruses, or big dance anthems that are more about jumping around in praise (although we do need those kinds of songs as well in our lives). But finding upbeat tracks that dig deeper into God is no easy task. Which leads me to this album.

As a main theme of positivity this album is wonderful and actually feels very fresh. The track 'Thankful Hearts' has a great chorus. Olly Knight's track 'Because Of Your Cross' is a great song with a great guitar riff. 'Come Let Us Sing' is an amazing upbeat praise track, 'Strength Of My Heart' is a lovely intimate and soul searching song and 'Risen Indeed' is straight out of the Rend Collective song writing style book.

Yet the song 'Holy Is The Name' and it's stunning guitar picking overlaid with these hushed and rich vocals and imagery lyrics is also a real star on this album. This album just has so much going for it.

The production of the songs on here are very good. I wonder what they would sound like in a live/festival event. Because of their upbeat nature and theme, some of these songs would work very well in those settings. There are so many good songs on here, I would recommend this album if that is what you want, upbeat solid worship music.

This album mixes together upbeat sing along worship anthems with modern sounds and soul searching intimate lyrics. With a load of strong worship songs that will get the foot thumping and soul reaching out in praise, this is a strong album that leans towards the alt-pop/worship sound. This is an album that does what you expect, turn the worshiper's heart towards God.
