Rob Cole Releases 'The Sound of Heaven' Inspired By Father's Cancer Battle
Worship leader Rob Cole releases his new single 'The Sound of Heaven' on October 18th 2019. "I lost my father in 2017 after a battle with pancreatic cancer. He was an audio engineer for over 20 years. A thought hit me one day, 'I wonder what he thought of the sound of Heaven'", explains Rob. "That's where this song started to be birthed! An assembly of thoughts regarding him in Heaven, topped off with a bridge that declares victory over cancer!
Whether here or in Heaven, those who are in Christ are a victorious people. 'I know it drove satan crazy, knowing that cancer did not win. And I bet it wiped the smile off his face when you joined in the Sound he will never join again.' A song of faith and of hope, I feel it will lift the spirit of many!" Rob reached out to producer Sal Oliveri (Nashville, TN), and together they brought 'The Sound of Heaven' to life.
With a desire to see authentic worship come forth from the hearts of God's people, Rob leads with a complete dependency on the Holy Spirit (Proverbs 16:9). His heart in leading worship is to see a generation become the worshippers whom God is seeking in John 4 (those who worship Him in spirit & truth).
Rob Cole is a worship leader & singer/songwriter based out of Pembroke, NC. He currently serves full-time as the Youth Worship Pastor of Covenant Love Church in Fayetteville, NC, while traveling around North Carolina and abroad ministering.
