Southern California-based worship band, Binley, has released their new single 'Joy' . The single, featuring Trevor Davis from The Voice Season 4, and founding member Andrea Hamilton Binley, will be the fourth song the newbie worship band has released.

Read More Southern California-based worship band, Binley, has released their new single 'Joy' . The single, featuring Trevor Davis from The Voice Season 4, and founding member Andrea Hamilton Binley, will be the fourth song the newbie worship band has released.

The song is a cover of Upperroom's spontaneous live recording by the same title, released in 2018. Andrea was drawn to the truth in the song: that even in the midst of hardship, peace, hope and joy are available in God's presence, and indeed are His will for us continually. She teamed up with San Diego-based producer Mark Suhonen (production/programming credits for artists including Phil Wickham, Elevation Worship, Jordan Feliz, Chris Tomlin) and created a more dance pop version of the worship tune.

For all who don't know much about Binley they are known for their energetic worship and electro-pop sound, Binley hopes to create genuine worship experiences while filling a need for upbeat, relevant worship music.

"A lot of current worship music tends to be more reflective, slow in tempo, and minimally produced. Our music is more of a party. We want our songs to stir up joy," says Andrea. "Believers have the biggest reason to clap, dance, and rejoice. We've been given a new name and brought into the family."

I hear a lot of Christian music, sometimes you hear something and by tomorrow it's forgotten and then you hear something like this and you instantly love it. What an amazing song. On first listen this could be seen as another dance-pop worship song, but the sound that’s been created here is very... "joyful" without being cheesy or OTT. This is dance music which is full, surprisingly, of Joy.

The harmonies in this song are simply stunning. There is always something special when a male and female vocal work together and when it is done correctly with two strong vocals it sounds amazing, this single has that.
I like what this band stand for, yet on this cover they have done an amazing job adding extra life to what was an already amazing song. I can't wait to hear more from Binley.
