Louder Than The Music

The Found, a Christian duo band, made up of Manchester-based best friends Libby Adderley and Jessie Bland, have just released first single 'Wandering' from their debut 5 track EP 'Even Still'. The EP was produced by Daniel Stirling (producer for Rivers & Robots), and features members of Rivers & Robots on bass, electric guitar, and keys.



It ranges from atmospheric, ethereal tones to strong rhythm sections, and stripped back guitar plucking. The main focus across all 5 tracks is the beautiful blend of the two voices, with delicate harmonies and overlapping melodies. The EP covers a range of emotions on the journey of faith; going from being in the midst of uncertainty yet praising God in the storm (in the title track ‘Even Still’), to the affirming lyrics of ‘Sealed’ which explores the themes of security, identity, and God’s presence.

With music as a side hobby, Edinburgh-born Libby (25 years old) works full time as a junior doctor, and Milton Keynes-born Jessie (27 years old) is a full time television producer. The pair met at a Christian worship night in 2018 and very quickly discovered their mutual love of singing. They started The Found with the aim of pursuing creativity that expresses the heart of Jesus, speaks honestly and vulnerably about what it’s like following Him, and which sets out to inspire and encourage both believers and non-believers. Their music is a blend of folk, country, ambient vibes.

"We are so excited to share these songs that God has put on our hearts", said the duo. "These are songs of intimacy, brokenness, hope, questioning, awe, and praise. And we pray that our vulnerability in writing and releasing these will resonate with the hearts of those who listen, and share something of the Father’s love."

First single 'Wandering' will be followed by the release of the second single 'Even Still' on 28th February, and 'Longing' on 13th March, before the full online EP release date, Friday 20th March.
