One Sonic Society Debut First Track 'Forever Reign' Online

Dec 01 2009

Former Delirious? band members Stu G (guitars) and Jon Thatcher (bass) have given the first indication of their plans for the future with the streaming of the debut track 'Forever Reign' from their new band One Sonic Society. With Delirious? now disbanded, Stu and Jon have teamed up with Jason Ingram (vocals/guitars) and Paul Mabury (drums) to form a new band called One Sonic Society.

'Forever Reign', the first song to be heard from the band, is being streamed online now for 100 hours until 4am (GMT) on 5th December, and can be heard via the One Sonic Society website.

OSS have recorded a number of tracks together in Nashville USA, where Jason is based, and are expected to release their first EP in May 2010. One of the tracks from the EP, 'The Greatness Of Our God' was written by Jason and Stu with Hillsong's Reuben Morgan and is also expected to be included on the next Hillsong album, along with a version of 'Forever Reign'. Other tracks that OSS have so far written and recorded include 'Our God Will Come', 'Meet With Me' and 'Burn'.

Talking about the new band, and the obvious comparisons with Delirious?, Stu G said, "Jon and I have been working with Jason and a guy called Paul Mabury, who is an amazing drummer. We've been writing songs specifically aimed at the church. A band has developed with the four of us. It's something I really believe in. It's very exciting and it's something, which I'm really passionate about. With having Jon and I involved, of course, there are elements, which are going to sound like Delirious. Hopefully, we are still pushing things on, creatively. The great thing is that Jason has a great voice and Paul's a great drummer. Everyone brings something a little bit different. The main thing, for me is that the vision carries on, which will happen for all of us in Delirious in separate ways, in terms of making great music, which will inspire people. I think Delirious fans will love the new songs."
