Ashley BA Music Releases 'No Greater Love' Single
Ashley BA Music has released her new single 'No Greater Love' through Homegrown Worship. Following her first release of 2020 'Just Another Day', this new single is Ashley's first release under the Homegrown Worship label. Working with the highly acclaimed Andy Baker and the Homegrown Worship team, this song aims to encourage listeners that there is nothing deeper, nothing wider, no love that is stronger than the love of God.
"Growing up in a Christian home and being raised in church, I was taught early about the love of God. Phrases like “Jesus loves you” and “God is love” were either sung in Sunday school songs or taught in bible memory verses. However I found that hearing it so often made it almost become cliché and not have any real meaning to me.
Coming into adulthood and experiencing disappointments, heartbreak, losing a parent and being let down by people I trusted gave me a hunger to experience God’s love in a whole new way. I wanted my own revelation of His love, to know Him for myself and not rely on someone else’s rendition. That became my prayer for a while, “God give me a revelation of Your love”.
“No Greater Love” is a testament that nothing can compare to the love of God. There is nothing deeper, nothing wider, no love that is stronger. I hope this encourages anyone who may be questioning the love of God, that when all else fails, when it feels like all hope is lost, just when you think there’s no one to lean on or depend on, His love endures, His love is stable, His love still carries on."
Ashley BA Music is a UK based Christian singer and song-writer. Growing up, Ashley was heavily influenced by her mother’s love for singing and music. Ashley first began singing in her local church youth choir from the age of 14, where she went on to lead worship at her local church while at university. On the hunt to take her voice beyond the four walls of the church, Ashley found herself singing in various bands including MOBO nominated "Desire to Worship God (DTWG)" and Manchester-based "Simply Vessels".
After moving to Bristol to begin her career as a research scientist, Ashley found herself at a turning point in her life. The recent passing away of her mother, coupled with the strangeness of adjusting to a new city inspired Ashley to literally put pen to paper and express herself in the form of songwriting. Feeling led to share her creative flow, Ashley made the leap to break out as a solo artist, and emerged onto the UK Gospel scene in 2018 with her debut single “Still God”. She has since won the 2019 Christian Talent Award for “best singer”, where she was also nominated for “best solo artist”. Ashley currently leads worship at her local church in Bristol, and regularly releases covers by some of her music influences for free listening on YouTube and Soundcloud.
