Nashville-based Christian artist and songwriter Jenn Bostic is set to release a brand new single, Wrapped, on April 10th. Produced by Lauren Christy and Theron “Neff-U” Feemster (Michael Jackson, Eminem, Justin Beiber, Sia), this record is being released to bring peace during a time of uncertainty.
To promote her latest release Take My Hand Part 1, which debuted at #11 on the iTunes Christian/Gospel chart, Bostic was in the middle of a European tour, when the reality of the Covid-19 spread began. The tour was cut short and with news of multiple travel bans while Bostic was touring alone, thousands of miles from home, she found comfort in the image of being wrapped in the Father’s arms, choosing faith over fear. This song is part of a forthcoming album, created with Lauren Christy, due to release later this year.
Christy is one of the creators of The Matrix, she and her former business partners are responsible for writing and producing Avril Lavigne’s debut album Let Go, which included three international number one hits including Complicated, Sk8er Boi, and I’m With You, selling 25 million copies. Christy has written and produced hits for Jason Mraz, Christina Aguilera, Britney Spears, Enrique Iglesias, Kelly Clarkson, Dua Lipa, Katy Perry, The Struts, Bebe Rexha and many more. Lauren is one of only seven women to ever be nominated for “Producer of the Year” at the Grammys.
The two began collaborating after the viral international success of Bostic’s Jealous of the Angels. There was an instant synergy in their writing, and an immediate sisterhood. Christy became a mentor, and Bostic released six of their songs independently (Faithful, Little Grace, Lamp), touring them around the world, and performing a few on the stage of The Grand Ole Opry and BBC Television’s Songs of Praise. As an independent, Bostic was the first international artist to have her first three singles playlisted on BBC Radio 2. She was named “International Touring Artist of the Year” in both 2017 & 2018 by the British Country Music Association, as well as being nominated for “International Album of the Year” and “International Single of the Year.” In 2012 she was the recipient of 5 Independent Country Music Association Awards including “Best Songwriter,” “Best Musician,” and “Overall Winner.” A performance on BBC Breakfast Television led to Jealous of the Angels reaching #1 on the iTunes UK singer/songwriter chart.
Lauren’s career began as an artist, signed to EMI Publishing. She has been actively involved in all facets of the industry. Pouring her wisdom and creativity into this music and developing Bostic’s artistry has been a passion project. Out of the heart the mouth speaks, and for the last year and a half, Bostic and Christy have been writing and recording this album of inspirational songs with the vision to bring hope, peace, and positivity to the world.
