In 2021, Maverick City Music released Jubilee: Juneteenth Edition, a collection of songs released in acknowledgement of the Juneteenth holiday. It was a star-studded affair, featuring a stacked roster of guests including Ciara, Lecrae, Rapsody, Tamar Braxton and many more. On the Breathe EP, the collective offer up new takes on Jubilee tracks like "Joy of the Lord" and "Mighty One", as well as worship favourites like "Heal Our Land" (featuring Joe L Barnes, Maryanne J. George and the Mav City Gospel Choir) and "I Will Exalt You" (featuring Ahjah Walls and the Mav City Gospel Choir), the latter of which gets the "spontaneous" treatment.
