This is not a new album from talented duo Bryan & Katie Torwalt, instead it is a collection of their best known songs. Now if you are a fan of these singers and have all of their releases already, then this album is not for you.
Yet if you are new to these guys from the same stable as Jesus Culture, then this album is a must as the songs on here are amazing.

Let me start at the beginning. Jesus Culture is a Christian youth outreach ministry based at Bethel Church in California that hosts regular conferences around the US and elsewhere. The Jesus Culture band and their worship leaders have released a number of albums.
Bryan & Katie come from this collection of worship leaders and produced two very good albums titled 'Here On Earth' and 'Kingdom Come', which we loved at LTTM. Now someone has put together the best songs from those two albums to create this release titled 'Jesus Culture Music Presents Bryan & Katie Torwalt'. Not the most catchy album title ever, but never mind.
One of the high points of this album is the vocals of Bryan and Katie. On their own they are amazing, but when mixed together they sound even better. Katie's vocals on her own are so powerful, even spine tingling and haunting. She can sing upbeat vocals and the uptempo numbers like King of All The Earth and the brilliant Shores, then at the same time be intimate with songs like Weight of Glory.
Bryan also knows how to use vocals to their full potential. Listen to how he blasts out the track He Is Faithful. He has such a smooth voice that not many men can sing like, and still sounds so powerful.
This album is a real treat as it takes the best songs from both of their albums and packages it together for people to find out more about these artists. You can't get away from the fact that these songs do sound very 'Jesus Culture'. Yet what stands out for me is the melodies of these songs, they stand out on their own as such strong songs that seem to get better as time has gone on.
