Writing is such a personal thing which means one persons beautiful declaration of love will sound like the biggest corn-fest to another. When I started listening to this album, I thought I was going to be subjected to the latter: it didn't excite me. However, I like the music that was backing these somewhat corny lyrics so it wasn't that hard to make myself listen.As it turned out, the lyrics - no matter how corny the beginning - always turned into a really beautiful message or declaration.
