Soul Survivor is a lifeblood organisation and has great history and heritage for many generations in the UK and beyond. Year on year they offer a great live album experience and this year is no exception. For the few who are only just discovering Soul Survivor, you will not be disappointed. The Watford (UK) based Charity exists to introduce young people to Jesus and equip, encourage and empower them to live their whole lives for him. They run events throughout the year including summer conferences, equipping days and Saturday celebrations. This year they welcomed over 26,000 young people to their events.

What struck me about this album is that not only does it captures the worship time at the summer Soul Survivor event, It is a wonderful tool to draw closer to God for people who were not at the event as well as the people who were there. This isn't an album for being a bit nostalgic about what a great time you had. This is an album that captures what God was and is doing.

Soul Survivor albums have always been very good, let me repeat that, Soul Survivor albums have always been amazing. The amount of times I have played those albums over the last 15 plus years is something else. Each year after being at the event, I couldn't wait to hear it all again on my CD player.

There seemed to be a time where whatever was recorded and put on the Soul Survivor album of that year basically became the sound and songs of many Sunday morning worship times, especially in the UK. You couldn't go to a church event and not hear a new Tim Hughes or Matt Redman song. These albums have been so important to the local church in the UK.

So what do I think of this new album? Well, it's a wonderful bunch of songs that are simply stunning, this album is a must get! Each track flows from one amazing time of worship to anther. That doesn't always happen with live albums, especially when there are a number of different worship leaders. This album doesn't fall into that bracket. Tom Smith and Beth Croft are two different kind of worship leaders but they both work in harmony to create a stunning worship album. When you listen to this album you will find yourself getting lost in worship. If you are a worship leader, some of these songs might be great to use in your local church. A great set of songs from an amazing event.
