His musical signature, “It’s Not Over (When God Is In It)," was recorded by Israel & New Breed and inspired Sanchez’s 2012 book, It’s Not Over: How To Keep Moving Forward When You Feel You’re Losing The Fight. He earned a 2010 GRAMMY nomination for Best Gospel Song as co-writer of “Every Prayer,” and Sanchez’s 2015 Difference Media debut, Grand Symphony, received the inaugural Album of the Year - Gospel trophy at last year’s Tejano Music Awards. Also a renowned mentor and teacher on worship, Sanchez’s popular Windows 2 Worship seminars offer coaching and consultation to worship leaders around the world.

I didn't know what to expect from this album. I have to admit I knew very little about Ricardo, but once I saw the list of songs he has been involved in, I knew I had heard his work before.

For the opening song 'You Are' there is a real exciting drive to it. This comes from the electric guitar and adds to the excitement of what is about to come on the album. Yet I couldn't think why I knew the chorus. It seemed like I had heard it before because it is so catchy. We then move onto the song 'Taste and See' which has a slightly more Gospel feel to it and I would even say a seventies funky guitar sound. What I found interesting on this album is that there are tracks that have a reprise track following straight after the original track. I'm not sure if it is needed if I'm honest. For me it's either part of the original track or not.

That big band Gospel sound continues with the track 'Greater, Greater'. This for me is the best track on the album. The song 'Relentless' shows the album and the song writing at its most stripped back. There are no gimmicks musically or lyrically, this is the most heartfelt and raw song on the album and you can sense something is about to happen in the song. What I really liked was that the song is given the space needed, and even deserved, to grow. The same could be said for the truly brilliant 'A Bridge'. What a powerful song.

'Over Me' has this calypso sound. I have to admit I was caught off guard by that. There is even a key change mid way through the song. What it did do was make me smile. I'm kind of surprised where this track is situated on the album. It's between two very intimate and synth led acoustic songs in 'Relentless' and 'Faithful'. I felt these would have worked better together as two songs. I know, this is me nit picking, but I just felt the decision to stick a calypso sounding track in the middle spoilt the flow a little.

That said, this is a strong and bold worship album. The richness of the album is in the quality of the sound and the fact you can't pin a genre on it. This has a few different sounds and inspirations. From traditional live worship sounds to gospel to acoustic to synth led sounds. A solid album that grows stronger as the album goes on.
