Nashville-based singer/songwriter Erskin Anavitarte has garnered a diverse fanbase around the world with his unique infusion of pop, jazz, R&B and hip-hop styles. An advocate for orphaned, abandoned and vulnerable children, Anavitarte serves as an artist representative for Holt International. He is also a diversity spokesperson, with a focus on strengthening ministries, engaging the culture and creating impactful art.

A Texas-born high school basketball standout, Erskin Anavitarte received an athletic scholarship to East Tennessee State University and earned an M.Div. from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. He currently resides in Nashville with his wife Kelli and their children.

This album has seven tracks, all penned or co-penned by Anavitarte. 'Only Love’ thumps into life. I love the passion on this song. It has this groove that is infectious and even has a little bridge of the classic “This little light of mine”. I have to admit as much as I love the bridge, the jump back into the chorus isn’t as tidy as it could be. Yet this is still a great uplifting song.

The album for me is all about a positive message. And there is none more important than the message within the song 'Life Matters'. The song itself has a chorus of “Your life matters and my life matters...” God loves everyone - a message we must all take on-board.

The album takes a lovely change of pace with 'Grace Made The First Move' and vocally I feel Erskin is more comfortable here. Even musically I feel Erskin seems to be happier. For me the album gets better the further we dig into it. It seems that Erskin is much more comfortable with the songs on the second side of the album. Why? I'm not sure, but the tracks have a more gentle smooth sound, even more laid back, but for me, Erskin's vocals fit brilliantly in these songs. As a listener I think the album's best and strongest tracks are towards the end.

Erskin is a wonderful talent and has so much to give with this album. He makes you feel relaxed throughout with the positive messages flowing through the songs. Well worth a few moments to check this album out if you can.
