Singer/songwriter Lydia Evangeline is no stranger to the music industry, having previously secured a huge and loyal YouTube fanbase with acoustic duo Wayward Daughter, written and featured on Gareth Emery’s hit single 'Reckless' and toured alongside Elton John as a session musician. Now returning with her emotionally driven 5 track EP 'Twenty Four' Lydia Evangeline is showing no signs of slowing down.

Starting her career on YouTube as part of Wayward Daughter, Lydia soon became a known name, with over 17 million streams on Spotify and 87,000 subscribers on YouTube. With her online fan base growing overnight, Lydia played on tour with Elton John, wrote and feature on a track with Gareth Emery and is now returning bigger and better than ever with her solo material.

From the moment I pressed play, something special happened. I can't put my finger on it but the Florence and The Machine vocalist has created a really stunning piece of work here. I personally could listen to the track 'Perfect One' over and over, it’s beautiful. The song is tender and intimate without being too much. Another thing I would say about this EP is that it's very, and I mean very, personal - with streaks of honesty all over the record.

I was kind of expecting an acoustic EP, and in parts it is, but 'Still Love You' is a brilliant upbeat dance pop track but the lyrics are so personal that this really isn’t a cliché pop track. This is good music with loads of meaning, the kind of meaning that has been ripped from the songwriter's heart and soul and made into a truly stunning song.

The song 'Holly' sounds like the band Radiohead could have recorded it for their amazing album The Bends. The song '24' is such a powerful track. Starting off as a beautiful and heart wrenching piano ballad, it will leave you with a tear in your eye.

It’s actually a hard album to listen to. It feels at times like it's too personal that you feel you shouldn’t be listening. The honesty here and the storytelling are stunning. This EP is a pieces of art that is full of creativity. Yet when you know they are true stories these songs hit you hard. There EP is more than just some thrown together songs. This is real music.
