The Rubyz are a new girl band from the US, they are an extremely talented teen trio who are aged from 13 to 17. Bringing a much-needed light into the current pop scene and filling a void in Christian music. With their fresh pop-rock sound blended with faith and morals brings together an amazing sound of energetic, high energy, high quality sensation.
Their self-titled debut album is incredible, each track is infectious, and will get you singing along and grooving to the beat! Every song is not just good but great, a mixture of 'meaningful and fun all in one'... Their self-titled debut album is incredible, each track is infectious, and will get you singing along and grooving to the beat! Every song is not just good but great, a mixture of 'meaningful and fun all in one' as Alexis from The Rubyz puts it, I couldn't agree more with that. Even though this album is aimed at kids, tweens and teens, I enjoy it, and I think that the message in the music on this album can apply to people of all ages. Take the track thirteen for example, they sing about being thirteen and the struggles they go through, but I think that the song can apply to people of all ages, just replace thirteen with your own age and bang the song applies to you also. Every song is laced with total energy from on High, real spiritual adrenaline which will get you high on the Saviour.
I cannot find fault in this album, even though they have a cover of Rhianna's Umbrella, which in my opinion is miles better then Rhianna's version, its more positive and sounds so much better.
Fans of High School Musical or Hannah Montana will just love this album, and I encourage kids, tweens and teens to listen to this album, I also would encourage parents and youth leaders to get this album for your kids to listen to and also listen to it yourself. It will have you dancing, singing and enjoying every second of the album.
This is an amazing debut, also up for CCM album of the year, I look forward to see what they do on their next album.
