The EP includes Local Sound's treasured worship songs like "Shout To The Lord," "Open The Eyes Of My Heart," featuring special guest Paul Baloche as well as the hits "I Could Sing Of Your Love Forever," "Agnus Dei / Heart of Worship" and "Let My Words Be Few."

Since the songs featured on Sunday School the EP are globally-known and have been sung in churches around the globe for decades, Local Sound has recorded the songs in both Spanish and Portuguese along with English. The group has been personally impacted by these cultures and wants to honor them with these translations as resources for their local church.

To date, Local Sound has toured with the likes of Mosaic MSC, Cody Carnes, and Mack Brock, and plans are underway for further tour dates this year. The group has also been involved with events such as the Outcry Tour, Desperation Conference, and Camp Electric.

Opening with a lovely atmospheric version of the song 'Heart of Worship', this Matt Redman classic is still a beautiful song but here we have a lovely modern twist. Not only does this version keep one foot in the original sound, it also has another foot firmly placed in the world of modern 2019 music, and from that you have this interesting mix of sounds going on. The same could be said about the Delirious track 'I Could Sing Of Your Love Forever', it feels like a new song. If I was Martin Smith I would be proud this song has been given a great new lease of life.

When I saw that this album was going to be released, I was a bit apprehensive about it, was this going to be a cheesy and half hearted bunch of cover versions? The answer is no, these songs have been given the respect they deserve and recorded like they were written today and recorded in 2019. The airy vocals and lovely beats make this a really lovely treat of an album. Of course with ‘covers’ people will either embrace the new version or dislike them and prefer the ‘original’, yet I don’t think you should look at these songs like that. Enjoy the songs for being modern and fresh but with the hint of nostalgia that his album digs into.

These are songs that were written to worship God at a time and place, yet this selection of songs are still relevant today. With this album we end up again with the songs being used for the reason they were written, to worship God. Here are songs from a time gone by, recorded for a newer generation.
